Green Velvet

Green Velvet, born Curtis Alan Jones, is an American electronic music producer and DJ from Chicago. He is best known for his influential role in house and techno music, particularly within the Chicago house scene. Green Velvet gained international recognition with tracks like “Flash”, “La La Land”, and “Answering Machine”, known for their distinctive spoken vocals, dark humor, and social commentary.

He also releases music under the alias Cajmere and founded the respected record label Relief Records.
